Just in time for the 250th anniversary of the April 18th, 1775 ride, Kostya Kennedy has written “The Ride: Paul Revere and the Night That Saved America.” This non-fiction book is really well-researched and well-written. I am a history lover, so I found lots to like about this account of Paul Revere’s life and that famous night.
This book provides a great description of colonial life in the 1770’s and of Revere’s life in particular. It also tells about many of his contemporaries, like Sam and John Adams, John Hancock, William Dawes and more. This was a very readable non-fiction book and wasn’t too long. The writing was interesting and the information I learned really brought Paul Revere to life!
I highly recommend “The Ride: Paul Revere and the Night That Saved America” to everyone who has visited Boston, loves history or just wants to learn more about Paul Revere and his journey that night 250 years ago!
