Melania

I was intrigued to read “Melania,” the new memoir by former First Lady Melania Trump. I know she is a very private person and I’ve always felt like she was not recognized for her talents and her work projects. Reading her memoir seemed like a good way to find out who Melania actually is and what she believes.

“Melania” was an easy read, and not too long either. I enjoyed reading about her childhood in Slovenia and her close relationship with her parents and sister. I did not realize her extensive education in architectural design and her strong work ethic. She makes it clear that she will stay true to her beliefs and does not care what the media or politicians say about her. She doesn’t always share the same beliefs as her husband either.

I’m glad I read Melania’s memoir and I admire her positivity and her love for her family. I also wish I’d known more about the historical renovations that she helped accomplish in the White House. I’ve read some hateful reviews of this book that are just totally out of line. The text was a little repetitive in places, but I feel I know much more about Melania after reading her memoir. (There were also quite a few photos of her childhood, her parents and her family.) Keeping politics out of the equation . . . reading “Melania” is a great way to know more about the life of this former European model, turned American First Lady.
